The General’s Son – A Lecture by Miko Peled

Created on Friday, 20 September 2013 11:55

Miko Peled was born in Jerusalem into a famous and influential Israeli Zionist family. His father was a General in the Israeli Army where Miko also served time. When Miko's niece was killed by Palestinian suicide bombers it was of course expected that the family would blame the Palestinians, but surprisingly they blamed the state of Israel and their violent persecution of the defenseless Palestinian people.

Through his father's deep knowledge of the Israeli "war on terror", together with his own research, Miko Peled demolishes the myths surrounding the situation in Israel and Palestine and delivers a truth so damning, that the majority of Israel’s supporters will not be able to bear it.

This lecture is a true eye-opener for anyone who has been blinded by the disinformation given by the mainstream media, and the truth comes straight from the heartland where Miko Peled spent many years documenting the real story.

American Radical – The Trials of Norman Finkelstein

Created on Monday, 28 July 2014 12:13

American Radical (2009) is the probing, definitive documentary about Jewish-American political scientist Norman Finkelstein. A devoted son of holocaust survivors and ardent critic of Israel and US Middle East policy, Finkelstein has been steadfast at the center of many intractable controversies.

Called a lunatic and self-hating Jew by some and an inspirational street-fighting revolutionary by others, Finkelstein's struggles arise from core questions about freedom, identity and nationhood.

Clash Of Worlds – Palestine

Created on Thursday, 25 July 2013 10:02

The Middle East has always been a region of seemingly endless religious conflict. Since it's also the region with the biggest oil reserves, it's highly likely that – unless reason prevails- the conflicts and drama in this part of the world will escalate in the years to come.

I decided to create this section with documentaries about the history of the Middle East, so that those who are interested can have a better understanding of (and predict) future events.

‘Clash Of Worlds – Palestine’ tells the story of the extraordinary tensions and mutual misunderstandings, wars and reconciliations that have haunted the Christian and Muslim cultures during Imperial Britain's rise and fall. The documentary explores the ways in which the centuries-old conflict between Islam and a Christian West can shed light on the causes of so called "terrorist acts" in the 21st century.

It also looks at the politically-charged history of Palestine and why decisions made by the British rulers of Palestine 90 years ago – when they supported the idea of a nation state for Jews in Palestine – intensified a conflict that continues to this day.

In December 1917 the British General Edmund Allenby entered Jerusalem with T.E. Lawrence (a.k.a Laurence of Arabia), the guerrilla leader of an Arab army, by his side. More than 800 years after they were evicted from Palestine during the Crusades the British ruled again over the Holy Land.

From the deserts of southern Jordan, through the West Bank and Israel, this film traces the roots of the "Palestine Issue" and the competing nationalist demands that the British faced. The Balfour Declaration of 1917 promised a homeland for Jews, but many inhabitants of the West Bank and militants fighting the Israeli army today, consider British rule over Palestine a betrayal of the Arab cause.
