It took hundreds of millions of years for petroleum to form on Earth. It took just 150 years for human beings to bleed the planet dry of roughly half of this oil. Arresting in its honesty and erudition, Crude Impact examines the prospect of ''world peak oil'', which is the point in time when the quantity of petroleum extracted from the earth begins to irreversibly decline.

The film highlights a vicious cycle of escalating dependency and need, as well as the behaviors and patterns fueling this cycle, such as consumer fetishism and the myth of endless supply, the tremendous rise in population and the demands of many more quickly industrializing nations.

It also surveys the devastating and far-reaching effects of the rampant pursuit of oil, including increasingly aggressive political turmoil, irreparable ecological damage, economic turbulence and gross human rights violations.

This is without question one of the best Wake Up! documentaries that I have seen recently. It covers pretty much everything from 9/11 and lying politicians to The New World Order. If you are unfamiliar with an item that is mentioned in the film and you'd like to know more type it into the search box in the sidebar so you can find some additional information. Chances are that I already posted another documentary with the same topic elsewhere. If you can't find anything here try YouTube or a search engine.

Other than the fact that Lou Dobbs is still very much alive this documentary is spot on. Highly recommended viewing.

Joseph Farah (editor of wnd.com) has produced the first major DVD documentary on the critical issues surrounding the constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as president – but it wasn't easy. In fact, during the course of shooting and editing 'A Question of Eligibility' the award-winning filmmaking team, including veterans of many controversial movie projects, made the unusual request to keep its identity secret for fear of retribution from the administration.

Farah chose four key presenters to bring the issue home:

– WND senior staff writer Jerome Corsi, the No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of "The Obama Nation";

– Orly Taitz, one of the most visible attorneys involved in filing lawsuits challenging Obama to produce proof of his qualifications for office;

– Alan Keyes, a participant in one of those lawsuits, a presidential candidate himself, and the Republican candidate who opposed Obama in his successful bid to become a U.S. senator, the job that brought him to national attention and;

– Janet Porter, an activist and pundit who writes a weekly column for WND.

"What we have produced here is a compelling and shocking documentary that will appeal both to those already steeped in the details of the eligibility story and those who need a video introduction to the major issues," said Farah.
