Albert Finney's famous speech in the 1976 movie "Network". I put it in this month's update because it applies to mass media today more than ever before.

Especially when it comes to the garbage that is being broadcast on television. (which is why I stopped watching television years ago)

In this documentary Bill Maher (Real Time with Bill Maher, Politically Incorrect) takes a pilgrimage across the globe, on a mind-opening journey into the ultimate taboo: questioning religion.

According to Maher, the title of the film is derived from a blend of the words 'religion' and 'ridiculous'.

Meeting the high and low from different religions, Maher simply asks questions, like “Why is faith good?”, “Why doesn’t an all-powerful God speak to us directly?” and “How can otherwise rational people believe in a talking snake?”

The series is quite informative even if you are otherwise "in the know" on this topic.
